The application process for the "Susan T Buffett Scholarship" is available online at "" This application is open now until the February 1st deadline. Click on "College Scholarships" and you will be directed to create a new users account and then you will be able to get started. Do not wait, begin this process right now! This is a lengthy process but well worth the cause! If your son or daughter is planning on attending any of the Nebraska State Colleges (Wayne State College, Peru State College, or Chadron State College), UNK, UNO, or UNL and all of the Nebraska Community colleges, the will be well worth your time. Other Deadlines
1.) Seniors must have applied for and been accepted by at least three colleges of their choice. These applications usually are considered to be Scholarship applications for that institution. Some schools have a deadline for Admissions applications. Check the school you are applying for details or stop into the Guidance office for more information. Deadline is October 31.
2.) Before taking the ACT exam Wausa students have access to the John Baylor ACT Test Prep curriculum. If you are taking the October 26th ACT test, you need to contact Mr. Conn as soon as possible.
3.) Jrs. and Seniors should also be creating a resume or updating the one you have currently. This resume helps with giving current information on scholarship applications without going from memory. it will also be very beneficial for summer or part-time jobs during the school year.
